Sign up for the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program and support Southeast Seattle Senior Center when you shop at your local Fred Meyer. You can link your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Southeast Seattle Senior Center online at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards, and every time you shop and use your Rewards Card you’ll be helping Southeast Seattle Senior Center earn a donation.

You will still earn Rewards Points, Fuel Points and Rebates when you use your Rewards Card.

If you do not have a Rewards Card, applications are available at all registers and the Customer Service Desk at any Fred Meyer store.

Bartell Drugs eScrip Program

Welcome to the Cheap Chickadee

Cheap Chickadee exteriorWe have a monthly sale requiring items be put in paper bags to determine the price and Seattle stores are no longer giving paper bags!!!  If you have some, we could use a donation!  Contact Kate at (206) 722-0317.

The Cheap Chickadee Thrift Store is the cute yellow house located next door to the Southeast Seattle Senior Center.  The Thrift Store is bursting with quirky treasures, useful items, fashionable clothes and unusual antiques!  We are located at 4645 So Holly Street, just west of Rainier Ave and So Holly St.  We’re open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Bargain Bag Days
The first Tuesday and Thursday of each month are Bag Days — when $5 will buy up to 10 items priced $3 or less.  On the first Wednesday of each month, members of the Senior Center receive 40% off.  Every day, the affordable prices and great selection are well worth a visit!

Thrift Store Donations

Your donations are appreciated and support important programs at the Center!  Donated items can be dropped off at the Cheap Chickadee Thrift Store, Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Tax receipt and unloading help is available.

We also accept after hours donations.  If you have donations after hours donations, please leave them at the back of the Thrift Store behind the green gate.

AARP Driver Safety Course

Fridays, November 9 and 16, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Cost: $15.00 AARP Members, $20.00 Non-AARP Members
Location: SESSC Wellness Room  Facilitator: Marge Lutton
Now is the time to refresh and enhance your driving skills.  This is a great course to get you “up to speed.”  Completion of the course may make you eligible for a discount on your auto insurance. Each session is a complete course. Sign up at the Front Desk.

Understand treatment choices, while learning better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health. If you have a condition such as: diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety, or depression, the Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop can help you take charge of your life.
