Leadership Giving

The SESSC’s Leadership Circle supporters are the foundation of our strong community network of support. They care deeply about our mission, raise public awareness about the needs of seniors, and inspire others to give a helping hand to our elderly neighbors. Joining SESSC’s Leadership Circle with an annual gift of $1,000 or more means you:

Sponsorship

The essential operating support of corporate and local businesses allows the Center to offer engaging activities to thousands of aging adults each year in our community.

The benefits of sponsorship reach beyond the initial recognition. As a sponsor, you and/or your company are acknowledging a shared belief that aging well is a right — not a privilege.

We promise the following benefits with all levels of sponsorship:

• The opportunity to build trust and establish rapport within the local community;
• Distribution of product samples and literature at the Center;

Planned Giving

The Center is a place you care about and want to be available for older adults for generations to come. Stock Donations

The SESSC accepts gifts of stock through Stock Donator. Make a bigger impact by donating long-term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to the SESSC. Compared with donating cash or selling your appreciated securities and contributing the after-tax proceeds, you may be able to automatically increase your gift and your tax deduction.

Donor Advised Fund Donations

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is like a charitable investment account that is set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Individuals can contribute cash, stocks, or other assets into the DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction. Those funds are invested for tax-free growth and the individual can recommend donations to charities of their choice over time.

Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you are 70.5 or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA, allowing you to exclude the amount of your required minimum distribution (RMD) from your income, even if you don’t itemize your taxes each year. The SouthEast Seattle Senior Center Tax ID is 91-1156576.

In-Kind Donations

In addition to financial contributions, you can show support by donating in-kind items to the Center. Please select an item(s) from our wish list below and deliver the item(s) to the Center between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Contact the front desk at (206) 722-0317 for more information.

• Reams of 8.5×11″ Copier Paper
• Hand Sanitizer

Our Community Dining Lunch Program needs the following items:

• Non-Dairy Creamer and Sugar Packets
• Dish Washing Soap
• Dinner Napkins and Facial Tissues
• Gallon, Quart, Sandwich, and Snack Sized Ziploc Bags

Shop & Donate

Sign up for the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program and support the Center whenever you shop at your local Fred Meyer. You can link your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to the SESSC online at www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards, and every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you’ll be helping Southeast Seattle Senior Center earn a donation.

You will still earn Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates when you use your Rewards Card.

If you do not have a Rewards Card, applications are available at all registers and the Customer Service Desk at any Fred Meyer store.
